A recent Network Operations Center hardware failure caused a massive website and private VPS server outage for DiamondTech customers, and other web hosting companies and dedicated server operators within the same network infrastructure.

The hardware failure was recognized by the N.O.C. team around 5:22pm on July 29, 2020, and the issue was fully resolved around 1:45pm today (7/30/2020), lasting approximately 20 hours. The hardware issue was rooted at the Dallas International Data Center, and then became more widespread into the Seattle International Data Center, causing more than 55,000 domains websites to be down. Once the hardware was replaced by the Emergency Maintenance Team in Dallas, which only took a few hours, they then had to update the API Keys for all servers, which is a time consuming process to do for over 2,000+ private servers on a network node.

We thank our customers for their patience and understanding during this widespread service outage.
